So I have just taken a trip from China to Singapore and then from Singapore to South Africa. Just before I landed on my first destination I experienced excruciating pain in my ear, nasal and forehead. I knew what this was because I had heard about it but it had never happened to me before. I was flying without earplugs/earplanes on!
It felt like the insides of my head and face were filled with air and there was a sharp object poking me on the inside, yes this is just my description of the pain I felt!
So on my second trip I asked the air hostess to give me earplugs and she saved me!
Some airlines don’t give you earplugs unless you ask for them and other airlines give them to you regardless of whether you ask.
To avoid this problem I will advise anyone to purchase earplugs before boarding a plane or call the airline and ask if they will provide them .
